We are actively planning functions specifically for area photographers. Slated for the near future are studio and field workshops with wildlife models from Stump Hill Farms. Models available include tigers (Bengal and white), lynx, civets, cervals, fox, wolves, brown and black bear, many varieties of monkey and lemur, birds (macaws, cockatoos, parrots, lorries, guinea fowl, etc.). These workshops will be kept small with expected costs to be in the $150 range for large predators and $50 for the smaller subjects. We will make information available as it develops.
We would also like to start up an Image Maker's Lounge. This informal gathering of photographers will simply be a place for the like minded to hang out together, talk shop, and grow together. This WILL NOT be another camera club; we will have no president, no agenda, and no slideshows. This is not a place to come for constructive criticism, this will be, as the name implies, a lounge for working photographers to share techniques, 'war stories', and success stories. We will be making our research library available and curator Stephen McNulty will be on hand to answer questions about approaching editors, curators, and buyers. Depending on response from photographers we would like to make this a monthly, or weekly, event. Again, the whole point of this is to create a casual event for photographers to interact and network, this is not a forum to show your work.
Please join our photographer specific mailing list to be kept up to date as these events develop.
